Bathing Beauty

K LOVES to get into her bathing suits now. This past weekend, it was warm enough for us to get in the pool and her baby pool. Here she is in one of her suits from Namma and Pop Pop.

Growing so quickly!

R and I were in the kitchen and it was a little too quiet in our TV room. We looked around the corner and here is what we found!

K can now climb into chairs and here she is with her best friend M. This was too cute not to take a pic!

Just like Mommy

I was cleaning out our attic last weekend and found some of my old toys that my mom and dad saved and somehow made their way to our attic. I thought K would get a kick out of playing with my old stroller for my babies and my cabbage patch kid car carrier. She decided to take M for a spin!

Go Bucknell

I am an alum of Bucknell University, so it is only fitting that K has a tshirt from there. When she walked into my parents, my dad asked, "is that where she's going to college?" I hope so! I had some of the best years of my life there. R and I will be working until we're 100, but K will have a blast!!

Hair- Before and After

No one ever believes us when we tell them that K's hair is really long. So, here is proof. Here is a picture before we wet her hair:

And here is one after- isn't it so long??

K & Mr. Delaware

Our neighbor is Mr. Delaware. He participates in body building competitions and was Mr. Delaware one year. He travels all over the world to participate in these competitions. And, he has a soft spot for K. He is #12 of 12 children (his parents called him #12) and is from Sierra Leone. So, he has lots of practice with kids since all of his siblings have children.

When K was a newborn, he came over to meet her and rocked her right to sleep- and that was during her fussy time! He loves to watch her walk around, etc and is always asking about her health, activities, etc.

We went for our usual walk after dinner and saw him and his wife. K got out of her buggy and walked him to our house, holding his hand, to show him her bubbles. I just thought the size difference was priceles in this picture, as well as the fact that a body builder would have such a soft spot for a little girl. We are very lucky to have them as neighbors.

17 Months Old!

It's so hard for us to even believe that K is now 17th months old! She's talking so much, is getting her molars, playing with bubbles, and moved from the high chair to the booster seat! She's so much fun to be around- always smiling and laughing. We LOVE every second with her!!

It is funny to think that a year ago, she started on rice cereal- it was on the 4th of July! Here is a picture of her exactly 1 year ago. She has a LOT more hair :)

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy Birthday, America!!!

Sand and Water

We bought K a new toy for outside- it's a sand and water play area by Little Tikes. She has a ball playing with the water and is learning to like the sand. She loves to pour it on the concrete. It comes with little toys and lids to cover so if it rains, the sand won't get wet. She calls sand "NE" I guess she hears the n sound. If you notice in the background, she has her own little table and chairs that Namma and Pop Pop bought her in Florida.
