22 Months Old
Brynn is 22 months old today. Trying to get these bear pictures are challenging. She likes to take the sticker off and put it back on. Or run away from the bear. She is very active. So, I resorted to bribery and was able to get this picture. Brynn is definitely talking a lot more than she was last month. She's stringing words together to make sentences, and just learning more and more words. We are working on having her not scream as much- she has a loud voice- not sure where she gets that from. She goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 6. She loves to color and watch Strawberry Shortcake and Elmo. Kate is her idol. She wants to do everything Kate does. It's really sweet and Kate is very patient. Brynn is a little mother to Chase. When I feed him at night, she likes to sit with me and rock him. She is starting to tell us more and more when she goes to the bathroom and is very independent- likes to put her own socks and shoes on and pulls up her own pants. We are on our way to potty training! One last thing is she's starting to sing "Twinkle Twinkle" and her ABCs. She also knows our names which is just adorable to hear her say them and her last name.
We are so lucky to have this sweet, but energetic little girl in our lives.

2 Months old!
Chase is 2 months old today. I keep telling everyone I feel like I was just pregnant with him. He's such a sweet little guy. He's smiling and sleeping crazy long stretches. Now that I am typing this he will probably switch that. LOL. Right now he nurses at 7 and is in his crib by 8. Normally. Then he will sleep until 4, 5 and one morning 6! Seriously?! I know I'm just super lucky right now and this isn't how it will always be, but I'm taking it for now. We are heading to the Dr. for his well visit today but I wanted to post his bear picture. You can see he's filling out. His little chicken legs aren't so skinny anymore and his arms have little baby rolls that I LOVE!! This isn't the greatest angle, but he's smiling and I thought it was cute.

Artist in the making
Kate drew this at school yesterday on the wipe board. No teachers helped. She just asked to draw on the board with markers. How sweet is this?

Election Day!
Today is an election day. I believe it's a primary but the reason it's so fun is Brynn is off of school today. She has played dolls, barbies, colored, gone to the grocery store and had lunch. Brynn really is the happiest little girl. She's full of energy and just so loving.

Smile!
Chase has started smiling. Not on command but if you smile at him or make a really silly noise, he smiles. When I picked up the girls from school, they both wanted to hold him and see him, which was adorable. I put him between them and grabbed the camera and got this picture. I love it!

Kate's First Opening Day 2012
Today was Kate's first softball game for Talleyville Softball league. Her team is Philadelphia Soft Pretzel company and Rich is the head coach! She js number 10 which she later found out is Brian's number which Kate was so happy about!
Kate was so excited for her game! We were all there but Brynn, Chase and I had to leave for naps. I was able to see Kate hit and run the bases. She made it to home and scored! Go Kate!!!

Funny things about today
I don't have any pictures because I didn't want to encourage her more, but I did want to write this down so I can remember it. Kate has been home all week on Spring Break. It may be her most boring spring break ever. Because Chase is so little it's hard to do too much and we couldn't go anywhere. I hope next year we can :). Anyway, we met our friend for lunch today. Kate was in the bathroom for a while before we left and when she came out I noticed her left side of her chest looked bigger. She said, "mommy, I stuffed tissues in here. Do you need one?" and she pulled out a tissue. She made fake boobs. Well, we went to lunch like that, because I forgot, and we were hysterical. She sure does make me laugh. We are now finding tissues all throughout the house. But, we just laugh because it really is funny.

Bruiser
Brynn had a rough week last week. She hit her head on the table, leaning down to get a crayon, and it immediately turned black and blue. On Thursday at school, she hit her cheek on the bookshelf and it turned into a full on black eye by Saturday. And, Friday, she was swinging around in the chair and hit her head on the desk. Poor girl! I'm sure this is the first of many bruises- just a bunch of bruises in a short time. She's making a silly face in the picture below- gotta love her big personality :)

Newborn Photo Shoot- Chase at 2 weeks old
My friend Bri, who took pictures of Brynn for us as well, was generous enough to come and take newborn photos of Chase when he was 2 weeks old. I can't believe I'm just getting these on here and it's been 4 weeks. He sure has changed since these were done.
I wish she was in the area when Kate was born. These photos are perfect! I couldn't have asked for anything better. Love you Bri!

Easter Egg hunt with friends
Yesterday we met up with our good friends and did an Easter Egg hunt. It was really cute- they hid 15,000 eggs at this park and broke it into age groups. It was Brynn's first egg hunt and she had a blast- Rich took her to her section. I took Kate (and Chase in the bjorn) to her section. So much fun!
After the egg hunt, we went back to our friends' for dinner. The kids had a blast playing and running around and it was fun to catch up with everyone. It's been a while since I've hung out and it was Chase's first group get together and he was so well behaved :)

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to my family and friends that read this blog. Today is Chase's 1st Easter and his 1st holiday! Here he is all ready to go to Church this morning:
The girls were all dressed up in their new Easter Dresses and looked adorable :)
We came downstairs and noticed that the Easter bunny came! YAY!!
The girls were SO EXCITED! The bunny left us carrots that he didn't eat! Thanks bunny!!
After opening baskets, we went to Church. I couldn't believe we braved it but we did it and almost made it through. Everyone was SO EXCITED to see the girls and Chase. Mass started and everytime a song ended, Brynn would say, "All Done". Not say, SCREAM! So everyone was laughing and thought it was cute- thankfully. The pianist sang "Glory to God" and it was beautiful. At the end, Brynn yelled, "YAY!!" I mean, the church was hysterical. Even the priest laughed and mentioned it in his homily. I doubt we'll be going back there anytime soon. LOL.
After Church, we got Dunkin Donuts, and then did our Easter egg hunt- that bunny left 31 eggs! The girls had a blast! There were eggs filled with jelly beans, chocolate covered ice cream cone candies, and money!!
After the egg hunt, we were hanging out when Uncle Scott stopped over and brought the girls their very own Easter flowers! What an awesome Uncle! Thank you! That was just so sweet!! xoxo
We are heading to our neighbors/ friends house for Easter dinner. We went there last year so it wouldn't be the same this year. What a great Easter we've had!!
Home Depot- Build a bird house
My mom told us about workshops for children ages 5-12 at Home Depot. Rich took Kate yesterday to build a window bird feeder. They had a blast and it was free! It was nice for Kate to have one on one parent time too. Kate did the whole thing by herself and got a cute little apron, pin and certificate for doing it.
We now have an adorable window bird feeder on our window. Just hoping some birds come along!
