Halloween 2012

Happy Halloween!  What a great day we all had!  I took the day off to go to all 3 parades.  Kate, Brynn and Chase all wore fun Halloween outfits to school today:

 I dropped Kate off, then Chase.  Chase's parade was cancelled for today because of the Hurricane.  We got to Brynn's school and found out her parade was going to be inside because of the wet leaves and it was chilly out.  I got this picture of our sweet Brynn in her Strawberry Shortcake outfit.

 After I dropped her off, I ran some errands.  I ate lunch alone for the 1st time in my life. I ate so quickly because that's how i'm used to eating. It was so weird to be eating without one of the little ones with me.  Then it was time to go to Kate's school for her party and parade.  Here she is, our sweet Kitty Cat

 The parade was really cute. The kids walked around the school twice.  We picked everyone up and came home to eat a quick dinner of pasta in the shape of pumpkins and bats!  The girls opened their baskets, we skyped with Namma and Pop Pop, and had a visit from Grammie and Michael. Thanks everyone for the Halloween money :)

 And, finally, we went to our old neighborhood to trick or treat. Although it's only been 2 months, it felt like we never left. Everyone was so excited to see us.  It was really cute.  The girls were running around like they still lived in there.  And, what made it even more special was we trick or treated with Luke, Jenn and Jeremy.  We've trick or treated together for the past 3 years, so it wouldn't be the same with out them. Here's the gang:

 Happy 1st Halloween, Chase!  You were such a trooper.  We missed Daddy, who is in Charlotte for work, but we did "Tango" with him so he could see them trick or treating.  Hope everyone had a great Halloween! I know we definitely did!  xoxo

Happy 7th Birthday Molly!

Molly is 7 today!  We sang happy birthday to her and gave her a box of treats. She ate 6 of our cookies- not our idea- so she had a great birthday, despite the hurricane.

Hurricane Sandy

Well, she's here.  We are in the eye of it right now. We slept in the basement last night and will tonight. the girls were so excited to sleep in there.  It's kind of weird to be in a new house and not know it so well and have this horrible storm hitting.  Work was closed, schools were all closed and thankfully Rich's flight to Charlotte was cancelled.  So, we were home all day.  We had a blast!

The girls watched plenty of TV- in case we lose power and they can't.  They played, ate, colored and did dress up. Kate took Brynn to pee pee on the potty and Brynn only had one wet pull up all day!  Kate is so good about taking her to the potty.  And Brynn is really excited about going on the potty.  Chase was a blast today.   He was all over the place and he just goes with the flow.  We made cookies and cupcakes.  I made a dinner that was out of our routine- had to cook while I still had light.  We had corn with it and Brynn said it was popcorn. Too cute.  And, our neighbors brought over a tray of desserts.

8 Months Old!

Chase is 8 months old today!  He is doing so great, besides an ear infection here and there :(  But, you would never know if he is in any pain. He's happy as can be. He babbles away and still hugs more than any baby I've ever seen. He even kisses too. It really is the sweetest thing. He's army crawling all over the place. I put him down to play one day after work and I looked over and he was in the kitchen!  Kate and Brynn were hysterical laughing about it.  Chiles, as Kate likes to call him, and Brynn reminds me is his name now, is starting to feed himself too.  He loves to eat puffs, pizza crust, and his teething biscuits.  And, he claps like crazy when the girls clap with him.  It's so funny to see them get so excited about all the things he does- no idea where they get that from.  We never have socks on him because he takes them off and chews on them.  He is a funny little guy too.  We are having a blast with him and enjoying all these moments.  Love you, my bug.

Fall Fun

This past weekend, we picked out some pumpkins, carved them and took everyone to a pumpkin patch.
The girls had a blast drawing on their pumpkins and then carving them.

It was really fun to carve the pumpkins this year and have Chase there with us. I think next year we'll save the seeds and eat them.  It's funny to think back to last year when it was just the 4 of us and now there's 5 of us. That's a lot of pumpkins :)

Today was Kate's picture day- she was so happy to wear Bridget's dress. And, she finally wore her hair down.  You gotta love her pose.  I can't get enough of this... And, this is unprompted.

Pull ups for Brynn!

Brynn has been going pee pee on the potty everyday this week at school.  Her teacher asked us to put her in pull ups.  Brynn is SO EXCITED when she goes potty. She's so proud of herself.  At school she gets a sticker and at home she gets an M&M, and a dance from Daddy!  Here she is wearing her 1st pull up.

Today was the 1st time I've really noticed my 3 babies playing together.  They were all playing with the busy ball popper and were having a blast.

Pajama Day

Kate had pajama day at school today. She was so excited to wear her Halloween pajamas to school.

Picture Day

Today is Chase's 1st picture day. He got all dressed up and had big smiles.

Big moves

We made some changes in the crossover tonight. Chase is now over 17 pounds and his infant carrier was just getting way too heavy for me to carry. And his feet were hanging over the edge and the nurse at his doctor may have made a comment about how it's time to move to the next seat. So tonight we got rid of the infant carrier. For good. It's sad for me because I know for sure that this is the last time we'll have this seat, but it's also exciting because Chase is getting so big. And because we moved him into that seat, we moved Kate to the way back! She is loving sitting by herself back there. And Brynn is loving her new solo seat as well.

Pumpkin patch

We took the kiddies to The pumpkin patch this afternoon. When we got there they were putting away the tractor because they were nervous for a storm, but we spent an hour there doing the mazes and walking through the pumpkin patch. All for free and pretty much just us. It was perfect. It was funny to think back to last year when I was pregnant with Chase and here he was with us taking it all in. Best year yet with all 3 of my little pumpkins.
