Day at the Park

Kate & I met up with some girls I went to high school with and their daughters today. It was a lot of fun to watch them all play together. Here's a picture from today at the park.

After the park, we came home and Kate napped. She woke up and we headed over to Rich's old high school for a track meet in honor of his dad. It was so nice to be there and we just felt so proud. The guys helped out, Amy and I hung out and the kids handed out the medals to the winners.

After the track meet, Kate & I headed out to dinner with my friend Bri and her son D. It was so nice to catch up with her.

What a great day! Tomorrow will be even better!! Namma and Pop Pop come home!!

Track Suit

Kate got this adorable track suit as a hand me down from her very good friend, B. She LOVES this, but loves it even more that B gave it to her and that Dora is on it! Had to share the poses. Happy Friday!

Busy Weekend

We had such a great, but busy weekend. On Friday, we had pizza and movie night. Kate loves to get movies and snuggle up in our jammies on the couch and eat popcorn. I think she likes to throw the popcorn to Molly more than she likes to eat it.

On Saturday, we hosted a baby shower for my good friend. It was a lot of fun, the 1st shower I've ever hosted, and Kate's 1st shower she ever attended. What an honor to be able to do something like that for such a good friend. And, Saturday marked 30 weeks pregnant!! Only 9 more weeks to go until we get to meet our sweet baby girl :) After the shower we went to dinner and then crashed at home.

On Sunday, we had a lazy, lazy day. We played games and then met some good friends for dinner.

Let's Call Namma and Pop Pop

Yesterday, Kate picked up my "points" calculator, which she also calls her "texter" and said she wanted to call Namma and Pop Pop. So, she picks it up and says, "Hi Namma and Pop Pop, i'm good, yeah, alright. Love you.Bye. I have to do some work." End of conversation. I asked her what they were doing and she said, "they were making shirts". I LOVE the imagination on this little girl :)

What is a circle?

Yesterday at Kate's school, the kids were asked, "What is a circle?" My clone said, "the sun". She is just like her momma- I LOVE it :)

And, here is a picture of Kate eating a sundae this past weekend. Rich had taken her to McDonald's and bought her a sundae. She only ate the chocolate, but still loved it.

A lot of people have been asking about a name for our baby girl. Still no name, but we aren't telling anyway. If you ask Kate what she wants to name her baby sister, she tells us "No Name".

8 years

It's been 8 years since my grandfather passed away. I'll never forget this day as long as I live. I wish more than anything he were here to see me married & get to know Rich more (they met a few times), my house, my pool, my dog, and most importantly, my Kate and baby girl to be. I don't want to be depressing on the blog, but wanted to call out this day. Love you & miss you Pop!

New Car!

We had quite a busy weekend. We got a new car on Saturday. The circumstances for which we had to get the new car aren't nearly as great as the car itself (I got into a car accident, but everything is okay). We ended up with another black Pilot, but this is a 2011!! It has nice gray interior and it's so roomy. Kate LOVES our new car. Let's just hope I don't get a scratch in it. I said to Rich, "We got the other Pilot when we were pregnant with Kate. Now, we are getting another new Pilot when we are pregnant with Baby #2". Our kids are going to be spoiled :)

Easter Weekend- Sunday

We woke up for Church on Easter Sunday and Rich surprised me and came with us! I got Kate all dressed up and she looked darling. After Church, we got our Dunkin Donuts, and went through our Easter baskets and then found the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid.

The faces of excitement that Kate made were priceless. She got lots of bubbles...

and a yo yo!

All dressed up in her Easter dress

The egg hunt begins!

Kate loves that the flowers are blooming. At school, they asked the kids about Spring and Kate's response was "Mommy's Flowers are growing".

Molly joined in too

Going through the eggs and showing Daddy what was inside. There were swedish fish- one of Kate's favorite candies and some coins for her bank. Kate LOVES to pretend that she has money in her pockets

Back of her dress

We are fortunate enough to have neighbors- Jenn, Jeremy & Luke- who moved in last summer. We have become friends with them and are so happy they moved here. Jenn is always making us food, but surprised us with this Easter bunny cake that she and her mom made. It was delicious!

Not only did the Easter bunny come to our house, Kate got stuff from Namma & Pop Pop in Florida, Grammie, Pat & John( neighbors across the street), Mary Ann and John (neighbors) and Jenn and Jeremy! What a lucky girl, and lucky us to have so many people think of us :)

Easter Weekend- Saturday

I'm so late, I know. But, I wanted to get some pictures up so when we look back, we know exactly what we did. On Saturday, we met our good friends the C's for an Easter Egg Hunt. Their daughter A is one of Kate's best friends and they had a blast together finding Easter eggs.

Prepping for the "hunt". I forgot a basket, so we made do with a plastic bag. Plus, you can fit more eggs :)

Found 1!

There is an egg behind this bag, she's not looking in the bag

Walking with Rich

The 4 of us :)

No family photo would be complete with A :)

After the egg hunt, we went to dinner in West Chester. Here are Kate & Ashley walking, hand in hand. I am so glad we got this picture so someday when they are older, walking in West Chester, we can show them this one.

Such a fun day! We were so glad the C's told us about this egg hunt and we could enjoy this with them.

No More Pull Ups? for now :)

Kate has been day potty trained since Sept. She's only had a few accidents, which is so great. For the past week, she's been having a dry pull up at night, so last night, we let her sleep in underwear, and she woke up dry!!! We made such a big deal of it and she was so proud of herself. She told all of her teachers aAdd Imaget school today too! Such a big girl :)

Easter Weekend- Friday

We have so much planned for this weekend, I thought I'd do it by day. Yesterday, Kate & I met some friends for lunch and then came home and patiently waited for Rich so that we could dye Easter eggs. Rich brought home a pizza, we ate and then we dyed eggs. The egg dying took about 10 minutes :).

Kate wore her bunny ears & was so excited to get started

She carefully placed an egg in each color. She kept saying, "I'll be yellow, you can be orange".

"Patiently" waiting for the eggs to dye

The finished products. We put stickers, wraps and holders on them. The blue polka dot was Rich's, of course.

Dying eggs was SO MUCH FUN!
