Rehoboth Beach

We took K to Rehoboth Beach, DE this past weekend for the day. We drove down in the morning, played on the beach, had lunch on the boardwalk, went to a friend's for nap, and then took her to Funland to ride the rides.

Our 1st ride was the Merry GO Round and she HATED it. She held onto me for dear life- wouldn't sit on the horse, simply HATED it.

But, R took her on the helicopters and she got the hang of it.

Then, we took her to some more rides. She had to ride the firetrucks alone! I about had a heart attack- seriously, they were going SO FAST, but she loved it. She went on the boats (twice) , a ferris wheel with R, the Merry Go Round again and then the trucks.

After the rides we headed home. We had the best day!

18 Month Check up

We had K's 18 month check up- it was 2 weeks late, but that's what happens when the Dr. goes on vacation for 2 weeks- must be nice :) Anyway, she's doing great!! She's 25 pounds and 31 3/4" long. The Dr. said she looks great. Unfortunately, she had to get 2 shots- I let R hold her down, I think I'm worse than K. But, the good news is, she doesn't need another vaccination until she's 4!!! Best news all day!! This is a picture taken of her before we went to the Dr.

Helper

K is becoming such a little helper. She loves to help empty out the dishwasher- she hands the silverware to me one at a time. Don't worry- she only touches the handle. She also loves to water the plants now. I guess she watches me do it so she likes to do it too. If I put too much water in the can, she'll tell us it's heavy and when she's out of water she'll say, "Empty". Here are some pics of her watering the flowers this past weekend. Pee Pee in the Potty!

Last night we were getting ready to give K a bath. She was standing in the hallway and I just mentioned to R to put her on the potty to try to pee pee. So, we're both standing in there, staring at her, and low and behold, she went! We flipped out and she just stared at us. I know we have a really long way to go, but it was such a big deal that she did it!!! I had to post it :)

My friend B was taking pics of her daughter while we were in OBX and was telling me about taking pics on an angle. So, I tried it out yesterday. I'm no photographer by any means, but I got this picture of K watering the flowers and it is one of my new favorites!

18 Months Old!!

K is 18 months old today- 1 1/2!! It is so hard to believe! She is so much fun to be around and is saying new words every day! She's also starting to understand that when she throws food, or pushes back on her chair, she's going to get a reaction from Mommy and Daddy, so that's a new fun thing too! The pictures with the bear are most likely coming to an end- it's hard to get a good one. Here are a few we took today!

Outer Banks 2008

It's been a while since I've posted and I've gotten some e mails asking where the posts are. We've been very busy! We spent a week with our friends in the Outer Banks. We were in Kill Devil Hills and it was 8 adults and 2 babies- K being 17 1/2 months and A being 6 1/2 months. We had a great time with friends, playing games, eating, hanging out, swimming in our pool, and going to the beach. K LOVED the beach, especially the sand, or nee as she calls it. She didn't like the ocean too much, but I don't blame her. R found her a sand crab and she loved it- we told her it was a fish- it was just easier to explain. She loved A too- she called her baby, and was calling her Toot, or cute. It was really fun to watch K & A interact. She loved the adults too. She learned to say a few of their names, and even make a new face. Here are some pics of K throughout the week.
