23 Months old!

I just can not believe that in 1 month my baby girl is going to be 2!   Brynn is definitely showing her BIG personality now. She is so happy and full of energy, but when she doesn't like something, she lets you know with a big NO!  or just tell you, "I don't like".  She is speaking in sentences and no longer refers to Dora as "Didi" which was just the cutest thing.  She loves to talk walks around the neighborhood and pick up "balls" or monkey balls.  She loves Elmo, Strawberry Shortcake, Barbies and Princesses.  She is definitely a girly girl, but also has a little tomboy in her because she is one tough cookie.  We brought the moon bounce out for Chase's baptism celebration and Brynn LOVES TO BOUNCH, as she calls it.  She always wants to have her nails painted too, which I just love.  It is fun to watch her learn words and use them and speak in sentences.  She knows that next month she will be 2 and she can count, with help, to 10 in English and in Spanish.  She is moving into a new room tomorrow- the tweenies  My baby girl is growing up so much!
I was able to get this picture because I told her she needed to leave the sticker on and smile and she'd get a donut.  Worked like a charm.  This was the first and only picture we took!

3 Months old!

Our little guy is 3 months old today!  He is such a joy!  He sleeps normally from 7:30-8 until 6 or 7 (although last night he was up at 1:30 and 5:30 but it was also 80 something in our house and our AC is not working.  UGH!)  Anyway, he's smiling so much and "talking" to us.  He smiles so brightly when he sees any of us- it's the sweetest, most welcoming feeling.  I know the girls both did this and I'm so lucky to have this experience one more time.  Chase has been hanging out in his bumbo seat for a few minutes and he seems to really enjoy the exersaucer too.  He's doing great with his tummy time and recently found his hands- he tries to get his entire fist in his mouth- he's not quite there yet.  I start back to work next week so hopefully he will continue to do so well.  Happy 3 month birthday "boy"!  We LOVE you!!

Bye bye Onesie room

Today was Brynn's last day in the onesie room. So crazy to think that she started in this room a year ago and didn't walk yet nor talk. And now, she's running, jumping, talking up a storm and just a little girl! We had a wonderful experience in this room and so did Brynn. Thank you onesie teachers!!

Techy

I made this collage when I was feeding Chase this morning. I feel so techy because I can normally never do things like this.

Kate's last PreK field trip

Today was Kate's last field trip in PreK and I got to go!! It was at the Children's museum and the children had a blast! They could climb a maze or a rock wall. They played in water and saw themselves on TV. What a fun trip!!!

My mom got the girls these matching outfits and they are just adorable! Someday I'll get both of them looking at me but for now, I'll take this pose and brynn sucking her little fingers.

Kate's 1st Phillies Game

Rich took Kate to her 1st Phillies game today. The weather did not look promising at all this morning but they still went. And it turned out to be a beautiful day for her first Phillies game! And they won! Rich said that Kate watched the whole game and really did it enjoy it. She got a Phillie Phanatic and lemonade and cotton candy. Kate had a ball! Here are some pictures:

Turtle

I was pulling out of the driveway today and saw something at the end. It was a turtle! I absolutely love turtles so I was so excited to see it. My neighbor helped me pick it up and we put it in a box. I gave it some water and fruit and grass. We are pretty sure it was a snapping turtle so we let it go but it was a huge hit with our girls! They loved it.

Hatched!

Kate's class had eggs on their classroom and the eggs hatched today and they have baby chicks! What a cool thing for the children to see and experience. I'm sure Kate will be asking to get one :).

Here she is holding the baby chick.

Ponytail

I got Brynn's hair into a mini ponytail! For Mother's with girls, this is a big day!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers that read this blog. I hope your day was as wonderful as mine was!

My day started with Kate coming into bed at 5:30. Not Chase waking up- he slept from 8-6! Mother's Day present #1. Kate had given me a bag with a cereal bar and tea in it at the Mother's Day tea so she went and got that and she, Brynn and I shared that. Rich then went and got coffee and donuts for breakfast. I got cards, flowers and the most adorable recipe book that Kate's teachers made with them. It was all of the children's favorite recipes their mothers make, in their own words. It was absolutely adorable. According to Kate her favorite thing I make is long yellow spaghettis. I also got flowers- a hydrangea with 3 blooms and a yellow one Brynn picked out all on her own.

After breakfast, Rich sat inside with Chase while he napped. The girls and I played outside. They moved the hanging baskets back and forth, played with bubbles and sidewalk chalk. Rich inflated the bounce house and they played in there until lunch.

After naps, we played outside until the moms came over. We had dinner with my mom and Dad and Jane. It was nice for Rich and me to have our moms over to celebrate. This day is about moms so it was perfect.

I am so thankful for having my mom here to celebrate and for having my 3 reasons I can celebrate this day. Beautiful weather and a day with my family- couldn't ask for anything more.

Here are some pictures from today:

Flower Market

We took the girls and Chase to the Flower Market last night. We were thinking Brynn would love the rides. Not so much. Lol. I think this was her first Flower Market and It was definitely Chase's. We rode the rides and then got some dinner. We ran into a friend of ours that I met at mother and baby class in 2007. Her daughter and Kate do dance together and had a blast riding rides.

36!

I can not believe I am 36! I have had the best birthday yet! I took Kate to school, came home and took Brynn. Then I got to hang with Rich and Chase and we heard Chase laugh for the first time! He's been trying and it happened! My parents came over to watch Chase so I could go to the Mother's Day tea at SMM. Best way to spend my afternoon. Then, I picked up Kate, went to get Brynn and we played at home. Rich invited my parents for dinner and we all had dinner together and then Jane came over for cake. I think Kate was the absolute most excited about my birthday. It was really cute. I truly had the best birthday! Jane asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her I seriously have everything I could ever ask for! Here are some pictures from this afternoon. Thanks Rich for making me feel so special!

Mother's Day tea with Kate

I just got back from a Mother's Day tea at Kate's school. They have been preparing for this for a while and it showed.  Her teachers in Pre K are absolutely amazing.  We really could not have asked for a better first year at SMM.  I don't want her to leave Pre K!!

We met in the lobby and we all received a pin they made (mine is in my car so I can see it everyday). We walked over to the church hall and each had our own seat. At the table was a placemat with Kate's handprint as the stems and her finger prints as the flowers. Also was a bag of breakfast in bed. And we also had a mirror with flowers that were Kate's fingerprints. The children sang songs and recited poems. I was a sobbing mess!! We had Danishes and cookies. And lemonade in tea cups. And fruit salad. Everything was perfect. It was such a special day for Kate and me.

Kate and one of her best friends, Madison.  They are so cute together

Kate and 2 more of her best friends- Hannah and C.C.

Pre K A& B students reciting poems and singing songs.  Absolutely precious.  Their teachers are amazing!
