We also went to the zoo and walked around with Ben and Maureen. After all the walking, we had a picnic by the river, with the ducks and geese.

Kate & Ben were more interested in the leaves and steps than the llamas and rheas.
Picnic- we had a sandwiches, chips, cookies and only the goldfish went to the geese and ducks.
Kate & Rich feeding the baby geese
We went to a baby shower, a BBQ, planted some flowers and had our own BBQ! Here is Kate bringing me the shovel. Notcie her flip flops and cup with pink lemonade. "That's mines" (that's mine) as she likes to tell us.
Here she is handing me the flower to plant- what a helper!
What a great Memorial Day weekend!
On a side note, the flips have a Princesses on them, which reminded me to write about this. We have a princess ice pack for Kate, for when she gets a boo boo. Whenever she gets hurt now, or if Rich or I get hurt, she asks for her Princess. Thought that was really sweet. She even wanted to put it on Molly's boo boo on her head.

Later that evening, my mom and dad and Jane and Michael came over for lasagna. I made a pineapple upside down cake for dessert.
Thumbs up for one of the best Mother's Days yet!

They also went on the Merry Go Round

Kate was working on the "compoooter" like Mommy. She takes both mine and Rich's security fobs, which we use to log onto our systems, and calls them our "work".
