I fall down, I get up again.....

I got a call from daycare yesterday that Kate fell and scratched her nose and forehead. I asked if it was bad and if she needed stitches and Leslie said it was just a scratch. Leslie said that Kate looked at her and said, "I'm okay, Leslie." So, when I picked up Kate she said, " Mommy, I fall". Her little nose is a little scratched, as well as her forehead.

Leslie sent me a picture of Kate right after it happened- does this look like she got hurt?? :)

Spring Day in February

We have had some milder weather this February and have been able to spend some time outside. I snapped this picture of Kate while we were outside playing with sidewalk chalk. I Love it!!

Surprise Visit

Our good friends Mike, Bri & Ashley came up for a surprise visit from Charlotte! What a great surprise. We all met this morning to have brunch and catch up. It was so fun to see everyone and hang out! It was even more fun to watch Kate and Ashley together. They met for the 1st time 6 months ago, and met again today. They were so cute. Wish Bri & Mike lived closer. It was fun for all of us to be together again.

Valentine's Day

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We did. I made chocolate chip pancakes ( heart shaped) for Rich and Kate. I guess they were ok- Kate ate 4!!! We exchanged our cards, and Kate opened up all of her Valentine's Day presents that she got. Then, we went to the park to play and met Grammie and Michael for dinner at Red Robin.

Rich & I got Kate this rocking horse for her birthday. I'm not sure if it's a rocking horse, but I wasn't quite sure of the actual name. She loves it! She can't climb on it by herself, but she does enjoy riding on it!

Happy Birthday, again

I had to share this video of the Friendly's staff singing Happy Birthday to Kate. Rich, Kate & I met our friend Lauren for a birthday celebration. We had a blast, but the best part was the staff singing Happy Birthday to Kate and her expression!

Snow!

We got some snow on Tuesday night into Wednesday and we spent yesterday playing in the snow. This was the 1st time Kate has actually played in the snow and was able to go sledding! We went around the neighborhood and then went across the street to the park. All of us, including Molly, had a ball!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kate!

Wishing our most special girl a very happy 2nd birthday! Both Rich & I are off today to spend the day with Kate. We started out our day by going to the Dr. for her 2 year well visit. She is 29 pounds and 33 1/4 inches tall! The Dr. said she is doing awesome! (we already knew that, it's just nice to hear him tell us). She can have any foods she wants now, so we stopped and got nutter butters on the way home and so far so good with the peanut butter- phew! I need a peanut M&M buddy :) (Lauren, we'll be fighting Kate for them soon :) ).

Kate opened her presents from us and then we went and played in the snow! We had a ball. She's never really "played" in the snow so that was fun. Then, we went sledding. I'll post some pics of that later this week.

Remembering Rich

Today is 3 years since my father in law left us. He was a wonderful man and I miss him everyday. He was able to meet and know my 4 nephews and I am grateful for that.

We found out I was pregnant 3 months after he passed and Kate was due February 18. I went into labor on February 3- 1 year after Rich passed- and Kate was born on February 4. I truly believe that he had something to do with her coming early, to help ease the sadness. I know he is looking down on us and smiling.

Kate's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Kate's 2nd Birthday party today at Moonbounce Adventures. It was so much fun. The party was from 10-12. The kids played from 10- 11:15, then we had pizza and cupcakes. Kate had a blast!! We got home, napped and then opened her presents and she got so much wonderful stuff. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. And, Namma came all the way from Florida for the party!!! So fun to have her here!!
