Spring weather

Well, not this weekend, but last weekend. I haven't had a chance to blog about last weekend because of this crazy week, but will write about this week in another post.

Last weekend, the weather was amazing! We had short sleeves on and had a picnic in the front yard. Because it was still damp, Rich got out this table for us.

On Sunday, Kate & I made an "Easter Tree".

First, we got some plastic Easter eggs and put some fish string through them.

Then, we hung them on the tree

We had to place them carefully because the branches were so little.

Ta Da!!!

Rich came over and hung the orange one because the rest were so low.

Celebrating Rich's birthday

We had a great weekend of celebrating Rich :) On Saturday, Rich & I went out to dinner to PF Changs- just the 2 of us! It was so nice to sit & laugh & talk. We had a great time, but were both SO FULL.

On Sunday, we met Jane, Crystal & Bryce for brunch to celebrate again. We had a nice time and had cake that Kate & I picked up. Here are some pics from Rich's birthday brunch.

Happy Birthday, Rich!

Today is Rich's birthday. We opened presents and Rich got cards and balloons. He took the day off so we are going to see the Easter bunny at the mall, then head out to hang out with friends while he watches the NCAA tourney. It's a gorgeous day and a gorgeous weekend ahead. Happy Birthday to the best husband, Daddy, Dog Daddy, Daddy to be and friend 3 1/2 girls could ask for!!

Our Leprachaun

Kate made this hat at school today! So cute!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not the LEAST bit Irish, but everyone's got a little Irish in them on St. Patrick's Day! Kate is having shamrock shakes and green applesauce at school today. All month long, they've been making shamrocks, anything green and even dance an Irish jig! She's wearing a shirt that says "Shamrocker" and little shamrock ponytail holders today. Here's a picture Rich sent of our lassie:

I'll be making a shamrock shake run myself, later this afternoon. The baby needs to celebrate too :) Enjoy!

Baby update

I had another ultrasound yesterday, well, an echocardogram of the baby's heart. Everything looked great. She was asleep during most of it and towards the end start punching or kicking the wand. The tech was hysterical at how strong she is. We checked to see if she was really a girl, and the tech and the Dr. confirmed it, so I think we can rest assured that it's safe to still buy pink :) The baby weighs 1 pound 7 ounces already!! It was so exciting to sit there and watch her suck her thumb, open and close her mouth. The Dr. got some really great pictures too. In one of our profile pictures, you can see her legs over her head! She's got some pretty crazy positions in there. They also did a 3D close up of her face and it is amazing. It looks like she has some hair too. Not surprised there though. As soon as I can get my last name off of them, I'll post them on here :)

Girl's Day

Rich got home safe & sound from South Dakota, and went to Baltimore for the day on Saturday to hang out with his college friends at a series of Lacrosse games. So, Kate & I had a girl's day. It was so great to do this with her and I plan on doing this more as we get closer to the baby's arrival because I know once she is here, my alone time with Kate will be limited in the beginning.
We started out our day with pedicures. Kate got blue and I got a silvery color. After pedicures, we met Lauren & Brian( the love of Kate's life) for lunch.

After lunch, we went home, napped, and woke up and ran some errands at our favorite store Target, then went to Friendly's for dinner. We both had desserts too. Kate LOVES to get ice cream cones.

After dinner, we came home, got in our jammies, made popcorn, and set up blankets on the floor to watch Tinkerbell. It was so much fun.

Kate LOVED eating the popcorn :)

I was sending pictures to Rich and my parents to show them movie night, so Kate wanted to text also. She got this calculator and calls it her texter.

She didn't quite sit through the whole movie, but she did watch it while she was playing.
It was the perfect day for my girl and me :)

23 weeks!

I am 23 weeks pregnant today, which means I am 6 months! YAY!!! We are so excited about our baby. Kate even felt her kick on Thursday night, and I know she did becuase I didn't say a word and when the baby kicked,Kate looked with a suprise face and started laughing hysterically. It was one of my favorite Mommy moments ever. I just hope that when #2 kicks her outside of the womb, she is still laughing.

I am feeling great. Large, but great, and enjoying EVERY moment of this pregnancy!

Photographer in the making

In my last post, I posted a picture of Kate from my cell. Here it is from my camera. Much better and you can see her so much better. She missed her Daddy while he was in South Dakota for work.

After I took her picture, Kate wanted to take my picture. I guess she sees us enough with the camera that she's been interested in taking pictures herself and thinks it's fun. She put Rich's hat on me and took this picture of me. I thought it came out great for a 3 year old!

Just like Daddy

Kate got home from school yesterday and put on Rich's hat. I had to share this picture because I thought it was so sweet that she wants to be just like her Daddy. What a Daddy's girl :)

PS- sorry about the lighting. I took this on my cell.

Circus!

We took Kate to the circus this past weekend with Rich's family. It was a lot of fun! We got the tickets a while ago and were able to get 15 seats all together. We got there a little early to see the preshow, but Kate wasn't into it, so we sat at our seats, which was just fine. Uncle Greg bought Kate a snocone in a cup that lit up and that was probably the highlight for her. She did LOVE the chinese dragons, the men on stilts and the animals that she saw. Everyone seemed to have a really good time too. Here are some pictures.

Here is the entrance. Our national anthem was sung.

We LOVED the elephants

Here is the finale- you can see the people on stilts, and you can also see how great our seats were.

Kate and Rich waving bye bye to the circus. Kate was so cute- she would wave at all the people.
