Open Dance Class

Today was open dance for parents at Kate's dance lessons. They had their lesson, and wore their Halloween costumes and the last 15 minutes was open class for the parents to come in and watch. Kate was soo not into it. She did a few dance moves, but for the most part, was interested in all of the people there as well as her costume.

All the girls were lined up ready for the parents
Kate watching her teacher for the moves
Getting ready to jump
Jumping!
The girls all lined up and held hands and did a little witch dance
Kate checking out her costume
It was really cute to watch all the little girls and see what they've been learning for the past few weeks. This was Kate's first time in front of people and she was a little shy, but we are proud she did it!

4 Months old!

Brynn is 4 months old today! We woke up and did this picture first thing. I think she's starting to get used to the bear :)

She also found her feet this morning! It was the cutest thing- she was sitting there and looked down and almost did a double take.
We have her 4 month well visit next Friday so we'll see how much she weighs and how long she is.

Pumpkin Patch & Carving

I love Halloween. There's no particular reason why I do, but I just do. And since I've had Kate & now Brynn, I love it even more!

Here is Brynn with her new treat bag and her new Halloween outfit. She's had an outfit to wear everyday this week for "school".

Kate likes to show of her's too :)

It was a beautiful day so we took the girls to the pumpkin patch. Here is one cute little bumblebee:

And here is another one ;) I got "Bald Baby Bows" for Brynn since she doesn't have too much hair. I was so tired of people asking me if she was a boy, so I put this bow in and it stayed in all day!

The excitement of the bumblebees was too much for Brynn

The first thing we did was a hayride. We went on this same hayride a year ago from Sunday and that was the same day I found out I was pregnant with Brynn. It was so fun to have her here with us this year!

After the hayride, we bought a pumpkin for Kate and she painted it. Rich helped her...

While the pumpkin dried, we did a corn maze. It was a little too big for us and we weren't paying attention so we got a little lost in it. Rich & Kate were picking corn and making a trail, but we still got lost!

After the pumpkin patch, we came home and napped. Once everyone woke up, we decided to carve pumpkins. Here are our 2 little pumpkins enjoying a sweet moment.

It was in the 70s so we carved the pumpkins outside. Rich set up a little table for us and we carved.

Here I am with my big girl. She did such a great job scooping out the "guts" and carving. Rich gave her a marker and she drew a face and he carved it.
Here are the carvers at work:

We had such a great day! We finished it up with a Mexican dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Exersaucer

We put Brynn in her exersaucer this morning to try something new and she loves it! She was mesmerized by this fish, as you can see. There are so many things to do and see on this thing, it tired her out :)

Salon Cut

I took Kate to get her hair cut today. It's been a while since her last one, so we thought it was time. She got to go to a salon and be pampered.

Here she is before:
Getting her hair washed. She LOVED that her hair could be washed and she still had her clothes on.
Fun cape. She also liked that the chair went up and down. And her favorite part was the huge mirror in the front that she could look at herself in.
TADA! 2+ inches off. She did great!!!

Grocery shopping

I took Kate & Brynn for some grocery shopping yesterday at Trader Joes. The carts are smaller so I could only fit Brynn's car seat in my cart. We came up with a fun solution:

Kate LOVED having her own cart! We put all of the groceries in her cart and she was such a happy and great helper!

Bath time!

Last night, we decided to put Brynn in the bath tub with Kate. Brynn LOVED all the water and Kate LOVED having her sister in there with her. She kept giving her all her bath toys. It was so cute.

I found this picture of Kate after bath one night...

And here is Brynn...

Pumpkin Patch

10.10.10 What a fun day! We met our friends the L's and the F's at a pumpkin patch close to our home. First we went on a hayride. Kate was so happy. She had a permanent smile on her face the entire time.
