7 months old!

Our baby girls is 7 months old today! So what we thought was a tooth earlier this week, looks like a tooth coming through and is an "ulcer". This happens when teeth are trying to come through. So, hopefully it's not causing her any pain. And, I just felt in there and there are definitely 2 little teeth popping through!

She's tried all of her 1st foods and so far prunes seem to be her favorite. She's not a big fan of green beans or carrots. Her absolute favorite thing is her big sister. Brynn lights up when Kate comes into the room. They are so cute together.

Brynn can roll from her belly to her back, but not vice versa, but she sits up all by herself and can also stand when she's holding onto a table. Brynn is such a happy girl. She loves to "sing" and sucks her 2 fingers (middle and ring on her right hand) when she's tired.

These past 7 months have just gone so quickly for us. But, we are enjoying every moment!

Teeth!

Brynn has been sticking her tongue out for the past week. We couldn't figure it out. We thought maybe she found it again, or maybe she's trying to breathe better through her mouth since she has a cold. Who knows? Well, we figured it out! Her bottom 2 teeth are coming through! Both at the same time. The right one is through and the left one is right at the surface ready to pop through.

Busy day!

We had such a fun day today! We had dance class this morning.

From dance class, we went right to Kate's best friend's 3rd birthday tea party! It was my dream come true- everything was pink. Pink cupcakes, pink marshmallows, pink decorations, pink M&Ms, pink Little Debbie cakes, and pink lemonade. Not a detail was missed- pink placemats, pink pom poms, and just anything you can imagine. There was even a fun green backdrop that my creative friend took each girl's picture. It was adorable!! Bri, you did an amazing job! Ashley is so lucky!!!

Here are Kate and Ashley. These 2 are such good friends. We are so lucky because her parents are 2 of our best friends also. When these 2 are together, it's just plain adorable.
Brynn even participated in the backdrop- Thanks Bri! I LOVE this picture of our baby girl.Kate was not wanting to pose on the backdrop, but Bri was able to get this shot of her.
After the party, we went to a concert- We Kids Rock. Kate took music lessons with this group and really enjoyed them. So, we thought we'd try the concert out. Our neighbors, Jenn, Jeremy and Luke came with us and we had so much fun! Some friends from dancing met us too!

Here is Rich having a good time :) Kate & Brynn dancing with Daddy

Here we all are- Kate is dancing with Brynn again.
The shaker eggs were a huge hit

Brynn played with the eggs and danced as well. After 30 minutes, I put her in my arms and she slept- during a "rock" concert! Guess she had a busy day.
After the concert, we met Jenn, Jeremy and Luke for dinner. We all had such a great time.

Fridays

I absolutely love my Fridays at home. This morning, I came in to Brynn and Molly sitting on the blanket together. Brynn was petting her and then she hugged her. It was so sweet. Notice Brynn's little sock is off- she has a thing for pulling her socks off.

Bedtime conversation

Tonight while we were putting Kate to bed, she gave me a big hug and kiss and we always tell each other we love each other. Tonight, she said, I'm not a baby anymore, Mommy. I'm getting bigger (which she says for getting older). I told her she's always going to be my baby and I will love her forever and never leave her. She said, Mommy, I'm never ever going to leave you". I hope not, my sweet girl.

I am going to try to get better at writing all of these little things down. She says the sweetest things and I don't ever want to forget.

One other thing I wanted to write down on here was that when she was around 1 1/2, she always used to tell me to put my hair up. She'd say, "Hair up". I told her that and she keeps reminding me of that.

Target

We took a family trip to Target yesterday (we were all off for MLK day). Kate has been asking if Brynn can be in the cart next to her so yesterday we finally did and Kate was over the moon. Brynn was so happy to be next to her too. They held hands the whole way around Target. As Rich said, "It's funny how everyday things can just totally make your day".
Look at the way Brynn's looking at Kate. Hope she always looks up to her like that.

Snow!

We had another snow storm today. So, Kate and Rich ventured out. Oh, and Molly too. We got Kate all bundled up.
Molly is ripping it in the snow while Kate took a break from sledding to make snow angels. Brynn was napping so I hung out at home and made a lasagna for dinner that night.
Here is Kate pulling Rich on the sled.
And Brynn woke up so we decided to take her out into her first real big snow. She was not so sure...
Kate was so thrilled to have her baby sister go sledding with her.
And, so was Daddy. Now he has 2 girls to go sledding with!!

Boyfriends

Well, not really. One of Kate's closest friends is her friend Ben. They've known each other since Kate was born- Ben is exactly 5 months older than her to the day. We are good friends with Ben's mom and dad. Ben came over on Monday to hang out with us since their school was closed. They watched a movie instead of a nap. Here they are hanging out....And, here is Brynn and one of her BFFs, Evan. They have known each other since Brynn was born and Evan is 6 weeks older than Brynn. Evan's mom is Brynn's Godmother. Lauren, Brian and Evan came for dinner this week and we got this picture of the 2 babies together.
We are so lucky to have the friends in our lives that we do!

2011

Happy New Year! I have made some resolutions, but i'm not going to list them here. Only because if I don't keep them, then I won't feel even more guilty. I'm sitting here writing this watching my 2 girls bounce around. Brynn is in the jumperoo and Kate is bouncing with her on her knees. We just got done have a Chinese food dinner of Pork Lo Mein and Wonton Soup- Kate's favorites.

Last night was pretty low key. We had dinner with our friend Katie and our neighbors Jenn, Jeremy and Luke at a Chinese buffett. Rich & I have had Chinese every New Years eve or New Years since we have been together so it's a bit of a tradition now.
After dinner, we came back to our house. Katie hung out for a while with us. I bought these crowns and noise makers, although we didn't bring out the noise makers. Here are Rich and Kate with their tiaras on.
Here we are with Molly. Brynn was asleep so she missed the picture. I'm sure she was celebrating up in her crib.
Here we are with Katie too. Katie has spent the past few New Year's Eves with us. It wouldn't be a New Year's Eve without her. Next year they'll have a baby to celebrate with us- can't wait to meet him/ her in May!
Katie left and we went to bed at 10:30. Rich woke me up just as the ball dropped and then went back to sleep. Funny how times have changed :)
