Breakfast for Dinner in our pajamas!

Our good friends, Lauren and Brian, had our group of friends over for dinner last night. We decided to come in our pajamas and Lauren threw out a breakfast theme. It was so much fun! The kids ( 4, 3,1, 9 1/2 months, 8 months and one in the belly :) ) were all so great! They had a blast playing together. Kate was so excited because she got to see her BFF Ashley and her "prince" Brian. We only got a few pictures. I may see if I can borrow some from our other friends that I can use.

We had breakfast appetizers, 2 casseroles, sausage and fruit for dinner, and cookies for dessert.

Here are Brynn, Kate and Ashley playing in the playroom:
Brynn and Evan trying to play it cool since there were parents in the room

Here is a shot of all of the kids playing in the playroom. It is so fun that our friends' children are around the same age as ours and they get to play and grow up together!

At night, we let Kate watch her show and she's been wanting me to tell a story to her every night, one that I make up. So, last night, Rich made up a story. It involved a prince. So, we said to Kate, who is your prince? She said Mommy and Daddy. Rich told her the prince had to be a boy because a prince is a boy. She said her prince is "Brian". Lauren, better watch out ;)

8 Months Old!

Brynn is 8 months old today! She has a bad cold right now, but is still her happy little self. She is waving, clapping her hands, saying mamama, gagaga, bababa, rararara, and we are working on getting her to say dadadada. She has no idea that I am mama when she says it, but she's making the sound and it's so sweet to my ears. She sits up like a pro and is rolling all the way over now. The other morning she pulled herself forward on her belly to get her toy. Won't be long before we have to put the baby gate out again.

Sunday at the Park

We met our friends Ben and Maureen at the park today. It was a beautiful Sunday here so we took advantage of the weather. What fun we had!

Brynn got to swing for the 1st time. Here she is swinging for the very 1st time.

She soon realized that this was fun! She was so smiley and laughing. It was really sweet.Rich decided to let her sit on him and swing. Look at how she's holding onto the swing. So cute. 5 minutes after I took this picture, she fell asleep.
Kate came over to see what we were up to so she got on the swings too.

Here are Kate & Ben taking a break from playing
Kate climbed up this rock wall. She did it totally alone!
Here she is at the top!
Rich had fun too!

She Rolled!

This morning, I was putting groceries away and Rich, Kate, & Brynn were playing in the TV room. Well, Brynn finally rolled over from her back to her belly. (She's been rolling from her belly to back for months now). Rich was yelling that she did it, but I didn't believe him. A few months ago he told me she did because I walked out of the room, but she really didn't. I finally believed him and I went in and she did it again. We had to entice her with her little doll, but now she's rolling all over the place!

Matching Girls

So, I know that they aren't twins, but it is still fun to dress them the same, or variations of the same outfit. As I mentioned in my last post, I dressed them in Valentine's outfits everyday last week, but they were pretty simliar :)

Kate hugging Brynn.
Kate hugging Brynn again. She loves to hug her baby, and Brynn loves it too

Our Lovies

And, I wanted to mention another thing. On Saturday, I woke up, showered, did my hair. I wore my sneakers with my jeans, which I just rarely do. I'm either in Uggs in the winter or Flip Flops in the summer. So, Kate looks at me and says, "Mommy, why are you wearing your sneakers and your hair is straight? You're supposed to be dressed up!" I think she's so used to seeing me with my hair done for work and in work clothes and I actually did it and wore sneakers. I thought it was so perceptive of her.

Photographer in the making

Kate loves taking pictures. Especially of Brynn. I guess when someone is following you around and trying to capture your every move, every new word, every new thing, you sort of get used to it. Here are some pictures Kate took this weekend. She did pretty good :)

Daddy and Brynn
Silly Brynn
Up Close of our baby girl- tongue out and a smile on her face- how you will most likely see our girl :)
Great job, Kate!

Catching up

and still loving each other... :) Last week, I dressed Kate & Brynn in Valentine's outfits each day. I love this picture (especially Kate's sweet face). This is how it is everyday with these 2. Kate makes Brynn laugh and Brynn smiles at Kate with the biggest grin you've ever seen. And, Kate LOVES to see her baby sister. I love watching the 2 of them.

I've been behind on our blog. Not too much new going on. We had some snow yesterday and Kate's school was closed, so she, Brynn and I hung out at home.

We have a new Lady Gaga fan on our hands~ Brynn has been using her sweet little voice to say Ga-ga and Ra-ra. She has also started clapping! When she gets excited, she claps, shakes her little legs. When we tell her to clap her hands, she does! It's really so sweet. oh, and she's definitely waving too! She use her whole arm, not just her hand, but if we say wave bye bye, she does!

Here is a video of Brynn clapping:

Here is a video of Brynn saying gagagaga- she did have socks on but her favorite thing to do is pull her socks off.

Budding Photographer!

So, I'm not sure if it's because I'm constantly taking pictures of Kate and Brynn so I don't miss a single moment of capturing the sweet, funny and cute things they do, or if it's just that Kate is working her way to becoming a great photographer, but she is always taking pictures and having everyone pose. Tonight after work, she took the following pictures of Brynn and me.

Notice that Brynn is holding on with all her might to her new favorite toy- my hair :) This is actually a really good picture :)
And, here's another one she took. I LOVE Brynn's little baby face in this.
Great job, Kate!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy 1st Valentine's Day to Brynn! I LOVE all holidays. Doesn't matter which one, I Love it and somehow decorate for it. I go overboard, I know. But, I can't help it, especially when it comes to my 2 lovies.

Here are Kate and Brynn all dressed up for school. Kate had a party at school (more about that later) and Brynn gave out Valentine's to the kids in her class.
I went out to Dunkin Donuts and got these heart shaped donuts for 2 of my Valentines. :)
We opened presents in the morning before work and school. It was a lot of fun watching the girls. Namma and Pop Pop sent cards and money in them- thanks! Our wonderful neighbors got them plates, lollipops and baby food for Brynn. And, we got them each a bear, candy for Kate, and Little People cars for Brynn. Then it was off to school for fun.

Brynn made her first project at school. so adorable! thanks Brynn!
Happy 1st Valentine's Day, baby girl! we are so happy you are our new Valentine this year. We LOVE you!
And, Kate had her party at school. All the kids exchanged Valentines. Kate gave out "Tangled" ones with a pencil attached. Here she is writing out her Valentines. I can not believe I can actually write that she signed each one! She also addressed a few of them.

She is writing her name so well. She can write Brynn, Mommy, Daddy and Molly also. It's so crazy that she is writing all of this on her own.Hope everyone reading this had a Happy Valentine's Day! I know I did with my 3 loves.

Out with the old and in with the new!

Since Kate is able to move into a booster seat, we decided to get one. Babies R Us is having a trade in event, so we traded in the bucket seat and were able to get 25% off the boosters, so we took full advantage.

Here is Brynn in the bucket for the last time. Kind of makes me sad that we won't ever use it again. Here is Kate in her seat for the last time

Brynn in her new seat. Kate was so excited that Brynn was moving into her old seat. It was so cute.

Kate in her booster. It's so crazy to me that this is the only seat she's in now. It's fun for her to have the seat belt now.

We went to Berri Yummi for dessert and after came home for baths. Brynn had a little accident in her baby tub, so we put her in the big tub with Kate. She did fine in the big tub with Kate, so we just let her bathe in there. Such a big girl. Kate was so excited to have her in the actual tub with her. She kept her leg behind her to keep her from falling backwards. Such a big helper!

Such a big weekend for us and moving away the baby stuff. So sad, but also so happy.

Daddy Daughter date night

Rich and Kate had Daddy Daughter Date night tonight at chick Fil A. It was the cutest thing. Rich made a reservation online. He picked her up from school and took her. They had a table for 2, a table cloth, flowers, a harpist playing, and enjoyed dinner. Kate had a blast hanging out with Rich. She came home with an ice cream cone. She was so excited all day for her "date" with Daddy. This morning, she said, "Mommy, I have Daddy/ Daughter date night tonight with Daddy. What are you and Brynn going to do?" I told her nothing. She said, "Will you miss us?" I said, "yes" and she said, "Why, because we're your babies?"

4 Year old check up

Kate had her 4 year old well visit yesterday. She is doing great and growing like a weed. They gave her an eye test this time. The nurse, who was sassy, was asking Kate what the objects were on the chart. She was telling her them, and the last one was a flag. She asked Kate what it was and Kate looked at her, with the pose below, but her right hand out and said (in a voice like, duh, you dummy, "An American Flag!" Love this girl and her sassiness :)

Fun Birthday Day!

We had such a fun day celebrating Kate's birthday!! Kate woke up in the morning and heard her name on the local radio station. She was so excited to wake up and be 4! When she came downstairs, the house was all decorated with balloons. She loved it. She had her favorite donut for breakfast. After breakfast, she got dressed and we opened up presents.

Here she is seeing the blow up cupcake in the house :)
Reading her cards
Opening a card from Brynn
Kate let Brynn help her out
Kate got lots of fun things from us: a bikini, books, a Strawberry shortcake doll set from Brynn and a Strawberry shortcake cafe from Namma and Pop Pop. Her big gift was this Barbie bike. she saw it and said,"i love it, but I wanted the pinkalicious one". But, she's happy with this one.
I made Fruity Pebbles treats in the shape of a #4 for her class. She wore a shirt that said Birthday Girl and a crown headband. She was definitely the princess for the day!
Her amazing teacher made her this crown and necklace with a 4. Her teacher is awesome!!
Rich took a half day and we picked Kate up from school and took her to McDonald's. From there, we went bowling! It was Kate's 1st time and she had a ball. Here she is "posing". This is her new thing when I want to take a picture.
Daddy helped Kate with her form
And, here it goes! She did really well. She actually got a spare in one frame.
Love this shot of her!
Brynn was there too. She enjoyed watching us and Kate would run and tell her how she did.
After bowling, we went to Friendly's for dinner. Here she is showing us how old she is!
The staff sung "Happy Birthday" to her. She was so embarassed, but enjoyed the sundae that they brought.

We hope you had a great birthday, Kate! We're pretty sure you did! Love you sweetie!
