17 Months Old!

Brynn is 17 months old today!  So hard to believe!  She moved into her big girl room on Thursday and is doing great in there.  She loves it in there and it is so cozy. Daddy did such a great job!  Brynn is pretty much running now. She loves to try to jump and she loves playing with Kate.  She really enjoys reading and making a clicking sound with her mouth/ tongue.  She cracks herself up. On Thanksgiving, we got her to say, "Love you".  So so sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I woke up at the crack this morning to put the turkey in the crock pot. I just did a 7 pound breast. I did my work out and while I was working out I was thinking about Thanksgiving and all of the things I have to be thankful for.

We started out our morning with breakfast at Jane's.  Everyone was there but Amy and we missed her.  The girls were so excited about Thanksgiving.  Here they are all dressed up and I am so very thankful to have these 2 in my life.  How can I not be with these smiling faces?!
Breakfast was fun and Kate was so excited to see her cousins and uncles and aunt. Brynn played hard to get with Aunt Pickle, but I have a feeling they will be buddies and best friends :)

After breakfast, we came home and put Brynn down for a nap in her new room!

While the girls and Rich napped, I got things ready for dinner so all I had to do was put them in the oven. The girls woke up and we all hung out and watched TV waiting for our guests to arrrive.  Rich and the girls had a nice time snuggling.  I am so thankful for these 3 and the little one growing inside of me :)
Pap Pap, Jimmy, Jane and Michael all showed up and everyone was ready to eat. We had a feast with all of the typical Thanksgiving foods.  It's so funny for me to think that when I met Rich, I had to read a cookbook to learn how to fry an egg and now I'm making my own Thanksgiving dinners. I cheat though with the potatoes and stuffing, but that's ok :)

No Thanksgiving dinner is complete without the turkey butter:

We really had such a nice time.  Hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Brynn's last day in our Nursery

Since we are preparing for our baby boy, we decided to move Brynn into her "big girl room".  Rich has been painting the room and prepping the room and it looks great.  Brynn took her last nap in her nursery today:

And, here she is for her last night in the nursery:
She'll still be in a crib in her room, but it makes me a little sad that my baby girl is moving on to her big girl room.  I can't imagine when she moves into a bed.

Kate's Thanksgiving Feast- Pre K

Yesterday was Kate's Thanskgiving Feast at SMM. It was ADORABLE!  The children all got to pick if they wanted to be a pilgrim or an Indian.  Kate chose a pilgrim. I took a little time from work and went to visit and am so happy I did!

Here are a few pictures of our sweet little pilgrim:

I made these pilgrim hats for her class as a treat after:

Weekend

We had such a great weekend.  On Friday, Rich finished painting Brynn's new big girl room.  We are moving her to the guest room and the baby will go in the nursery.  So, we can check that off of the to do list.  Once the carpet comes, we get the furniture in and the walls decorated, I'll post a pic.

Saturday Kate had her dance class.  After that, Rich took her to Bank Of America's volunteer event.  Kate had a ball. She got her face painted with 2 tattoos. She wrote a Christmas card to a soldier and made a luminary for a child with cancer.  Brynn and I hung at home waiting for a furniture delivery for her room.  Saturday night, we had dinner with friends then went for dessert after. We are so lucky to have such great neighbors who are also our good friends.

On Sunday, we helped Rich with the leaves. Since I can't do too much, we put the girls to work:

Just kidding.  They had their rakes out and ready to go.  It was beautiful on Sunday so it was nice to spend some time outside.  After that, we came in and cheered for the Eagles!

I made dinner and then headed off to the movies to see Breaking Dawn with some of my best girlfriends.  Yes, we are all in our 30s, but it doesn't matter! Great movie, by the way!

Such a great weekend hanging out together!  Love love love my girls and our guy!

No more Thumb at all!

Kate stopped sucking her thumb at nap time on Tuesday.  She was so happy about it and did it at night every night. So, we told her if she slept with a bandaid on her thumb on Saturday night, and woke up with it on, we'd get her a special treat.  She stopped sucking her thumb during the day a while ago, but the nighttime was a different story.  Anyway, she woke up and it was dry!  So, she said she wanted a pillow pet, so that's what she got.
While I should be thrilled, that really was her last baby thing left that she did. She's such a big girl!! Go Kate!! So proud of you lovey.

Boyfriends

So, my friend texted me when she picked up her daughter today that Kate said she was going to kiss Patrick  and she went ahead and planted one right on him. So, I asked her about it and why she kissed him. She said he was her boyfriend. I said, why did you kiss him and she said, "because you kiss your boyfriend".  She said she kissed him on the lips, the cheek and on the shoe. the shoe?!?  OMG.  I am dying. Rich isn't too happy about it. I think it's innocent and she's 4 1/2.  Hopefully this doesn't happen again though :)

Kate can tie her own shoes!!

Kate has been asking us to help her learn to tie her shoes for a while now.  We would try, but then start something else. Her shoe was untied today, so while I was driving, she wanted me to show her.  Not happening. So, I told her as soon as we got home, we would do it.  So, we did it, step by step and she got it!!!  We were both so excited. We called Rich right away and then she hugged me and said, "Thanks Mommy, for showing me how to tie my shoes!"  She tied them about 10 more times and then after swimming tonight, she tied both of her shoes for Rich.  I love it!  But, it also makes me sentimental because she's growing up way too quick.

Baby kicks

The baby has been kicking like crazy and moving all around and i couldn't love it more.  I do things to make him move now. I'll admit it :)  Well, I know the kicks are strong enough that Kate can feel them.  So, tonight I was lying in bed and put her hand on my belly.  He did a big kick and I didn't say anything, and she looked at me and said, " I just felt him kick!!"  So, she felt it!  It's so exciting!!

16 months!

Brynn is 16 months old now.  On October 28, we took the bear picture and I just forgot to put it up on here.  Anyway, she is awesome.  She's so much fun and SO ACTIVE!  She's talking up a storm. Some new words are school, pumpkin, boo, toes (while she points to them), Muno, Elmo, Brobee, show, shoe and a few others that I am sure I am forgetting  She is hysterical.  Tonight, she was in the TV room, while we were having a dance party, and I looked over and she was climbing her little kitchen playset.  She is absolutely in love with her big sister and does everything she does.  And, she loves to be awake- she was up at 5:30 this morning!  She's an early riser like her mama :)

Here is her 16 month bear picture:
