Christmas at Jane's

We celebrated Christmas with Rich's family today. It's so fun to see all of the kids together and it was even more fun this year with Chase and Mason. Neither knew what was going on but it was fun to watch them. Next year and the years to come will be so fun with these 2 as they are only 3 months apart :). For a while, Scott was holding Chase and Rich was holding Mason. Matthew said he wasn't sure who was who. Lol. Thanks Jane for having us and for all the food and gifts! Everyone had a blast!

Cheesesteaks and Chinese

While the girls were at Disney on Ice Rich and Chase met Jane for lunch. Chase had his first tastes of cheesesteaks and LOVED them. After we got home, our tradition has always been to have Chinese on New Years Eve so we got takeout and I gave Chase some. He threw down! He loved it all! After dinner we took the girls out for dessert to celebrate the New Year!

Disney on Ice

Kate's best friend Madison's mom and I took the girls to see Disney on Ice. It was so much fun and they all had a blast. I was wondering how Brynn would do and she had a blast. She was squealing with excitement and just so in love with it all. Our seats were awesome. It opened with Mickey and Minnie. Then Ariel, then Rapunzel so we hit both of the girls' favorite princesses right away. There was a short intermission and then Brave and ended with Beauty and the Beast. I already can't wait to go next year!

1st trip to ER

We made our first trip to the ER today. I think I can say we are very fortunate to have made it this long. We got some snow and Kate wanted to make a snow angel so we let her play. As she was running down the driveway she slipped and fell. Rich tool her to AI and she has a bubble fracture on her radius. So she's in a splint now and a cast on Thursday. We have to get her a bigger pen to write with and no gym for a few weeks.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! What an amazing day!! Chase was the first one up, followed very closely by Kate. We had to wake Brynn. Kate walked out of her room and looked at the tree and said," oh my goodness!!! He came!!!!" It was precious. We opened gifts and they all had a ball- got everything they wanted. I'd say Kate's favorite gift was her furby, Brynn's was her doc mcstuffin dolls, had breakfast, a visit from Namma, Pop Pop and Uncle Fred. Then, Jane, Michael, Pap pap and Jim. Then my parents came over for dinner. While eating dessert there was a knock and in walks my brother from California! I feel like the luckiest girl!! Merry 1st Christmas Chase and Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve 2012

I have always loved Christmas Eve. I think it was because we got to spend it with my grandparents and we just had the best time. And the anticipation of Christmas Day adds to the excitement. I love it even more now!

Today, we baked some cookies and brownies. Then my mom came over and we made a hello kitty gingerbread house with the girls while chase napped. After naps, everyone got ready for church, we went to mass then came home and had our traditional hoagie dinner with my parents and then opened presents from them. When we walked out of mass, it was snowing!

Kate, Brynn and Chase had a blast opening presents. Kate and Brynn were such fun! Kate's favorite gifts were her new American Girl doll and her stompeez and Brynn's were her stompeez and her Ariel doll that goes in the bath tub and has hair to brush. And Chase just was in heaven with all the boxes to climb all over. We finally have some boy toys!!! Thanks mom and dad! Merry Christmas!!

Christmas in their eyes

Every year, I always say that this is the best year for Christmas and I'm saying it again. Kate has been so excited for the past few weeks and especially this week. It is so cute and just makes Christmas that much for fun. Today, she was running through the hallway so excited. She said, "mommy!! This is the best Christmas ever!! Chase is alive and out of your belly!" Really?!? She made my day with that comment. So adorable. I hope they always feel this way about each other!

Trouble

We have to do some serious baby proofing. Chase has been crawling around for a few weeks now and last week I turned my head and Kate yelled to me. This is what I found!

Christmas Pedicures

The girls took a little time to ourselves and had Christmas pedicures yesterday. Kate and Brynn had red and green and I got just red. What a fun morning! And a wet one- Brynn sat in the foot tub :)

Reindeer cookies

I made these reindeer cookies for Kate's class. Next year I'll do them for Brynn's. I thought they were too young this year :)

Cards for neighbors

On Monday, Kate's class made cards and took them to the neighborhood next to her school. Thankfully I was off so I could walk with them. We even saw a special friend!

The Nutcracker

My mom invited Kate and me to see the Nutcracker today. Kate was all dressed up and ready to go. They sat together in the back of the car together. My mom got us fantastic seats- 3 rows from the stage! We had a nice time. Kate wasn't into it at first but kept saying after that it was "awesome!" Hoping we can make this a yearly event.

Brunch with Santa

We started off our day with brunch with Santa. The girls had a blast sitting with Santa and making crafts with him. Brynn told us a hundred times that he waved at her. Here are the pictures of each of them with Santa and then all 3.

Santa... Again

Since rich and I both had off today, we picked up the crew early from school, had an early dinner and took them to see Christmas lights. As an added treat Santa was there. It was perfect- warmer weather and no line. Even better? No tears! I'm sure we'll make up for it next year.

Chase's 1st tooth

Chase's first tooth popped through yesterday. I knew it had to be coming. His hands were constantly in his mouth, drool falling from his chin and just gnawing on everything and anything he could get his hands on. It's gist bottom left one. Yay Chase!

Christmas Jammies

Hermie & Barbie brought matching Christmas Jammies. Kate and Brynn have Mrs. Claus and Chase has Mr. Claus. They were so excited to wear matching Jammies. Well, the girls were. Chase didn't care.

Christmas Angel

Kate came home from school with a plain white angel. The task was to decorate it on the front and write the names of deceased family members that are celebrating Christmas in heaven. Here is her Angel.
