Opening day! Today is a big day- Rich finally has another guy to celebrate opening day with. It's also his fantasy baseball team's draft day. Someday Chase will participate, I'm sure :)

I had to post this picture of Kate & Brynn during bath time yesterday. They were having so much fun it was too cute to not snap a picture. Brynn was sticking her face in the water and getting soap all over her face and they were both hysterically laughing.

Brynn is 21 months old!

My bear pictures for Brynn are dwindling down.  I'll stop doing them every month when she turns 2.  Brynn just got over roseola so she spent a few days at home with Chase and me.  She's feeling so much better now though and doing great. She's talking a lot and putting sentences together. She is still obsessed with her baby dolls and princesses, but her biggest obsession would be her little brother and her big sister. She loves to make Kate laugh.  After school and on the weekends, they sit and color together- Brynn is becoming such an artist.  She holds her crayon so well too.  As you can see from the picture, she's also VERY active.  She would not keep the sticker on her.  It was on the bear, on the floor, etc., but I managed to get this picture.  She also loves to get her hair done and then look in the mirror to see it.  She asks to look in the mirror. It's hysterical.

Chase is 1 month old!

It is so hard to believe that Chase is already 1 month old! I literally feel like I was just in the hospital meeting my new baby boy for the first time. This month has flown by! It's taken a little adjustment for us all, but we are settling in and getting down to a routine. Thankfully, his sisters just LOVE him so much and want to help out, well, Kate wants to help out, Brynn just wants to kiss him so much.  But, we are so lucky it's that way and not any other way.  Here he is with the famous bear :)  Can't believe we are still doing the bear pictures :)

Chase has lost his cord, taken his first bath, went to the Perryville outlets, out to dinner and celebrated Daddy's birthday! That's a lot to do for only being a month old!!

Brynn stayed home sick again today. She's been home sick since Wednesday. Turns out she has roseola which is so common in children. The good news is once they have it they don't get it again and the even better news is the doctor said Chase shouldn't get it. Phew! I guess we don't have to keep her away from him anymore which has been really hard because she adores him. When she woke up from nap today, she showed me Chase's hands, fingers, mouth, nose and ear and just laid and stared at him. Luckily I had my camera and got this picture. I hope they always love each other like this!

We went to the mall today to see the Easter Bunny. Wasn't a favorite for Brynn or Chase. Brynn would not let Rich put her down and Kate couldn't have been happier. She even went back and hugged the bunny. Chase cried but that was because he had a dirty diaper. Good times!

3 weeks old!

Chase is 3 weeks old today!  He's napping right now so I can get some things done, and get this blog updated :)  His cord fell off. We are still working on the bottle, so hopefully it will get better.  He's sleeping about 4-5 hour stretches at night in the beginning and then every 2-3 hours, so we couldn't ask for anything more.

Happy 40th Birthday, Rich!

My babes is 40 today! 40!!  I can't believe it!

We celebrated with friends and family on February 11 at a surprise party for Rich.  Yesterday, we opened presents because it would be too hectic trying to do it before or after work.  Presents from my parents and the girls and Chase.

Later, we went to Grotto's with Scott, Crystal, Bryce, Pap Pap and Jane.  We had a cake and they sang Happy Birthday. It was fun to see everyone and have Chase there at his first birthday party!

 Brynn loved Pap Pap. It was really cute- she would yell his name until he would look at her.  Just adorable, and she let Aunt Crystal put her hair in these piggie tails and Aunt Crystal was in her glory- finally one of the girls let her do their hair!

And, this morning, Kate, Brynn and Chase all wore shirts for Daddy to tell him how much they LOVE him!

I said to Rich yesterday, I remember 10 years ago planning his 30th birthday party, wondering if he and I would really work out- we had just started dating. 10 years later, look at us now!  We have a beautiful home, the most wonderful and beautiful family either of us could ever have dreamed about and such great lives.  Happy 40th Rich! I know I'm not the easiest to live with, so thank you for your patience and love.  I wish you 50 more birthdays!  (especially with me :)  )  Love you!


Oh, and here is the cake we made Rich- spice cake with vanilla icing- his favorite cake, which I just found out :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day- Chase's 1st holiday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We didn't really do much today- Kate had dancing, Rich did maintenance at the softball field and then we enjoyed this amazing weather by taking a walk, after Rich and Kate hit the ball around. I think Chase likes his 1st holiday :). Even though I'm not Irish, I'm still wearing green.

Chase's 3rd week- March 12-17, 2012

I thought the newness of Chase would wear off- not so much.  The girls can't wait to get their hands on them and fight over who will hold him first. It's really sweet but sometimes a little much.

 Biggest and littlest :)

 On March 14, Kate had her 1st softball practice.  Guess who the coach is??  DADDY!!!  Her team is the Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Company. Hope they bring treats :)

 Chase had his 1st bottle on March 15. I like to wait 2 weeks to make sure they are good nursers.  I try to do 1 bottle a day. Sometimes that just doesn't happen though.

 On March 13, Chase's friend was born, the son of two of our closest friends.  WE are THRILLED that these 2 guys are only 2 weeks apart! How fun is that?? They met on March 15.  Best buds already!

 March 17- Chase's 1st nap in his crib. It only lasted an hour, but he did it!

I am going to try to be better about updating this blog.  The past 2 weeks have flown by and I'm finally coming up for some air :)

Chase- 2 weeks old!

Chase - 2nd week March 5-March 11

Chase had his weight check on March 5.  He was 8 lbs 2 oz- over his birth weight so we are good to go!

On March 9, Rich and I decided it was so nice out, we went to Perryville outlets and took Chase. He did great on his first road trip and first outlet trip

 On March 10, SMM had a "Blessing of the Babies Mass" for babies born in 2011 and 2012.  Kate was chosen to be the representative for Pre K and took a flower to the altar :)

On Chase's 2nd day, we had some visitors and it was all circumcision day. UGH. I'm not even going to go into it. Poor little guy.  But, he was a trooper.  The girls came down to visit again and loved seeing Chase. As you can see, they had a big sister shirt for each day :)
