Birthday girl

We had a great day celebrating our 2 year old! Brynn must have been excited for her birthday because she was up at 5! We opened presents from Mommy and Daddy, Kate & Chase, Aunt Angel and Natalie and Joanna, Mike and Bridget. Brynn loved opening the presents!

We went and got her 2 year pictures done, then picked up Kate from camp and met Namma and Grammie for lunch. The wait staff sang happy birthday to Brynn and at first she was unsure but after she wanted them to sing again. Lol. We came home, she napped, and then we went and got pedicures!

What a great day for our big 2 year old! Next up- Elmo swim party on Saturday!

2 years old!

My baby girl is 2! It is unreal how time flies. I'm sitting here remembering in vivid detail the morning we went to had her and wondering if I could love another baby as much as I loved my first one and the second I heard her being born, crying out, I knew I could without a doubt. And it was one of te best days of my life.

Brynn is definitely one of the most liveliest little girls. She's constantly laughing or smiling and has the best personality. She's also very active- jumping around, running away from us, climbing on tables and doing whatever it is that will get our attention, but in the cutest way possible.

She's counting to 10, singing "twinkle twinkle, itsy bitsy spider, abcs ( which she wants all of us to sing along to), happy birthday, take me out to the ballgame, fresh beat band songs and Strawberry Shortcake songs. She loves to dance and eat desserts and loves Strawberry Shortcake dolls and randomly is obsessed with ants. She eats so well too. Mexican food and pizza are her favorites. And black olives. She loves our pool and is always asking to "shwim in the pool, please". She is speaking in sentences now and is the cuddliest little girl. And she is the best little and big sister! Anything Kate does, Brynn does and as soon as she sees "her Chasey" or her "boy boy" she lights up. Don't try to touch him because she will tell you "don't touch him!"

Brynn, you have made our lives so happy. Yes, you challenge us, but in the cutest way possible. I can not imagine what life would be without you, my sweet baby girl! Happy 2nd birthday!!! Love you with all my heart!

4 Months Old!

Chase is 4 months old today! He is such a happy baby. He is rolling both ways now, grabbing at his toys, smiling and "talking" like crazy. He is doing really well in daycare also with his bottles and getting better at naps. He is really such a happy little guy. He is absolutely not a fan of his car seat but on the other end loves bath time. He kicks his legs in excitement and splashes like crazy! His sisters are still his favorite people. Happy 4 months little guy! We love you!!!

All Star Game

Tonight was Kate's all star softball game. All the girls in her age level are all stars and it was really cute- what I saw of it. They had a moon bounce and a face painter there. They played their game and were able to play in the moon bounce. I saw Kate up to bat once. I guess once is better than none! Brynn had a ball too. She went down the moon bounce with our friend Laura and was not a fan!

Pool time

We got to have some good pool time this weekend. I knew Kate would be great in the pool this summer and I thought Brynn would just play on the steps. Not so much! Brynn is jumping in and swimming all around. She has absolutely no fear at all! She's the complete opposite of Kate, who at this age was happy to just sit on the step. We literally can not take our eyes off of her! And now Kate is a fish!!! She swims, dives and does somersaults! And while the girls are playing in the pool with Rich, I'm working on my non existent tan and Chase is sleeping :).

Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day to my own dad and to Rich. My children and I are so lucky to have such wonderful fathers in our lives.

Rich said he wanted to sleep until 11. That is not possible at all in our house but he almost made it- until 9. I got everyone out the door by 7:45 and at 9 rich texted me that he was up- because of Molly! We brought him donuts- Kate picked that. And a coolatta. He opened his gifts and then we went fishing! We had a blast. Kaye caught 10 fish, Brynn caught 2 and Chase caught 1. With a little help. My mom and dad came and met us. After that we went home for naps and then to Namma and Pop Pop's for a cookout. Happy Father's Day! We love you Daddy!! We love you Pop Pop!!

And he rolled the other way

Just one of the disadvantages of being a working parent is that you miss a lot of the milestones. I eventually get to see them, but I have to hear about them from someone else first.

I went to pick up Chase today and his sheet said he rolled over!! I asked which way and they said back to belly! So he's done a full roll over now- way to go Chase!!! I wasn't mad at all that they told me. I'll just have to wait to see it for myself :)

Italian Festival

We took a family trip to the Italian Festival tonight. It was Chase's first time. He loved all the people and all the noises! We ate panzarotti, pizza, and rode rides. Both girls and Rich rode the rides :) What a fun afternoon!

Cabaret

Kate had her dance recital today and did awesome!! She was the perfect little dancer. Her routine was called Cabaret. She danced her little heart out and smiled the whole time. I give her so much credit!! She got a pretzel and 3 dozen roses from us, Namma and Pop Pop and Grammie. How lucky is she?!? Thanks for the pics, Dad!

Bigger pool

Kate's swim teacher suggested that she move to a bigger pool for lessons. We moved her tonight. The pool was Olympic size and she didn't hesitate. Her new teacher Stacy had them dive off of dive blocks which are a lot higher than the ones I used to dive off of. Here she is- she did great and didn't even hesitate!

Potty time!!

So it's begun. Brynn went pee pee on the potty tonight! She's been telling us for a while now when she goes and tonight she said pee pee on potty so I put her on the potty and she peed! You would have thought we won the lottery! I was screaming, Kate was screaming and Rich had just walked in the door and he and Chase were screaming too, although Chase was screaming for different reasons. Lol.

I know that this is the beginning of a long process, been there done that, but it's such a huge 1st step!

Our Pre Kindergarten graduate!

Kate graduated from Pre K today! What an amazing ceremony! The children sang songs, said their prayers, and also did a tribute to the dads. The teachers did a slide show of all the events throughout the year and we all got a copy of the DVD. It was perfect! I need to watch it again because I cried through the entire thing. I'm a mess :).

Kate has grown so much this year. I couldn't be more proud of the little girl she has become. She got her very first report card today and she got all Ps for proficient and her teacher said she is more than ready for Kindergarten.

I took the day off and she and I hung out at the pool and then she went to Namma and Pop Pops so I could visit Mason. We had a pizza dinner and a celebratory cake!

Here's to Kate for an amazing year and to her teachers for a fabulous job well done. It's not an easy one!

Manicure

I was painting Kate's nails today, already painted Brynn's 1st thing this morning, and Brynn asked me to paint her's. Why not? So we did! She loves them!

Mason!!

I am an aunt again!! I am so excited and can't wait to meet Mason!! He was born this morning and Crystal, Scott and Bryce are now a family of 4!! Chase and Mason are only 3 months apart!! How lucky for them!!!
