Mini vacation

Everyone is off of school this week in our house so we took a short trip to the beach. Kate has been looking forward to this since we left last time. She's had her shoes packed for over a month. Just like her mama!  We got to spend time with our friends and meet their son on Sunday. Hung out at the pool and then went into the little town of Bethany. Everyone was excited for an ice cream. On Monday we woke up and went to the beach. Them to the pool. While Brynn and Chase napped, rich and Kate went to play mini golf. Both days actually. Then we went to sinner and rides in Rehoboth. The girls got a little crazy and took Rich on the paratrooper. Chase and I hung out on the boats and fighter jets. We squeezed in a little more beach time on Tuesday and then pool and then home :(. Already looking forward to our next trip. I think the best parts were watching the girls giggle and try to stay up all night and also Chase LOVING the beach. FiNALLy

Brynn's 1st movie theater experience

We got home from a short beach trip and Rich took the girls to see the movie "Planes". Brynn has watched plenty of movies in the car, at school and at home, but this was her 1st time in the theater. Kate is a pro. Brynn loved it!  She loved the popcorn too. At one point she told Rich her lips hurt. 

18 Months Old

Chase is 18 months old today.  I was so sentimental all day.  I'm not sure why. Maybe because I watch him and see him turning into more of a little boy than a baby.  He is so much fun. He interacts, talks, plays, imitates us, tells us what he wants and FINALLY likes the beach!  LOL.  He still doesn't eat too much.  And he has 11 teeth. We are still waiting for the one bottom one to come through and then the 4 eye teeth.  Today, he told me twice that he pooped!  He is obsessed with airplanes and yells, "airplane!" and points to the sky whenever he hears one.  He is obsessed with trucks too.  And, his Pop Pop and Mooma (Namma) and the swedish fish, or fish, that he gets when he goes there.  Oh, and birds. He LOVES birds.  His favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba and his favorite food is probably pizza (when he wants to eat) or Gummies. Or swedish fish. He's definitely a sweet eater, that's for sure.  He just loves his big sisters so much. He calls for them all the time and the 3 of them play together a lot now.  Chase high fives or pounds literally everyone he meets.  He walks right up to people, which could be a bad thing, and waves until they wave to him.  He really is a friendly little guy.  And, he is definitely a mama's boy.  We are loving every minute with our favorite little guy.  Happy 18 months, Chase!!!

Sidewalk chalk

I am sure I've posted about this but I love the inventors of side walk chalk. My guys love it and could play all evening. Our driveway is colorful and full of rainbows, hearts, peace signs and circles. 

Cornboil

Our township had a cornboil last week. We had no idea what to expect but I can say, without doubt, we will be going next year for sure!  It was a lot of fun. They had free hotdogs, corn (obviously), water ice and drinks. You just had to bring a dessert. There was face painting and moon bounces too!  We had a blast!  Can't wait for next year. 

5k

My BFF Lauren and I signed up for our first 5 K and ran it last night. My goal was just to finish it running. I run a lot now but early in the morning and not after a full day at work. It was a lot of fun and so much energy was there. It was for a great cause too - Stand Up for Cancer. Rich met me there, as well as Kate, Brynn, Chase, my mom and dad, my friends Joanna and Bridget (B made me a goodluck  bracelet which i wore!) and 2 coworkers. Rich made the signs and Kate made one too!  our cheering section was perfect!!We finished and I couldn't be prouder of either of us!  My time was 27:56 and I placed 7th out of 52 in my age group!

Twins

Brynn and her BFF Gianna play every single day together at school. These 2 love each other. Gianna got Brynn this dress for her birthday and got the same one for herself. So her mom and I planned a day to wear them together and they were a hit!  They sang " Macaroni and cheese" and hugged. Love these 2!!

Looks familiar

I can remember and I know I posted the girls walking around in my shoes. Now all 3 do it. It's just funny to see Chase in pink sandals. 

Dance Camp!

The girls did a dance camp together the last week in July. Brynn was in one room and Kate in another with her BFF Madison. Camp was only a few hours and then they went to Namma and Pop Pop's which was the highlight of the week. On Friday there was a short show of their dance routine. They both did a great job!!

Bethany Beach trip- July 18-22

We took our first family of 5 vacation to Bethany Beach a few weeks ago and we had a blast!!  We did so much and had such a great time. Our friends got a new home and let us use it for the long weekend. It was perfect!  We got there on Wednesday and unpacked and hung out at the pool. That night, we had a quick dinner and then went to Rehoboth to the rides. Chase rode his first ride alone and loved it!  The girls played games and then we all had a treat on the boardwalk. On Thursday we were up early and at the beach. chase hated the sand. HATED!!  Brynn loved the ocean and so did Kate. We left the beach and went to the pool. That evening we ha lunch and went into Bethany. During nap, Rich and Kate played mini golf- her first time and she loved it!  We had the same day on Friday and Kate got a hole in one!!  On Saturday we went to get some yummy donuts and then to the beach.  Rich bought a kite and that was fun to fly. Everyone loved finding shells and playing with the sand crabs too. We hung out there then played at the pool that night we had dinner in Rehoboth and played on the rides. The girls slept in the same bed and loved it. At night we would hear them talking and cuddling and it was adorable!  We took a tram car ride around the complex each night and that was a hit!  We just had the best trip!!!
